The foremost value conveyed is the respect of oneself, our users, our colleagues, our organization, our community and, not the least, our mandate.
Respect of oneself, as a professional, is to recognize our limits, to keep abreast of newness and change in our field of activity and to take the necessary steps to maintain our level of competency.
Respect of our user means to acknowledge his experience, his autonomy and his competence and help him make enlightened decisions by providing him with proper information and judicious counselling. This also entails respecting his privacy by ensuring confidentiality so that no information is given to a third party without his authorization.
Respect of our colleagues means to collaborate with them in a harmonious way with a concern for the best possible quality of services.
Respect of our organization means to behave in a professional manner at all times.
Respect of our community means to act as a good citizen while promoting our fundamental value: respect of others.
Respect of our mandate means to assist and support a user with equity while maintaining good relations with our collaborators and partners.
Members sitting on the Board, on the executive committee or any other related committee of CAAP-Outaouais understand that their functions and decisions have a direct influence on the social development of the community.
That responsibility entails a high level of ethics in conduct to ascertain public confidence in the integrity, impartiality and transparency of the organization and allow members to execute their mandate with assurance, autonomy and objectivity.
The Board of directors adopted rules and regulations with this in mind. Members must respect these rules and regulations where potential conflicts of interest may arise or in divulging decisions made by the Board or one of it’s committees.
